B'Elanna's Story...
My name is B'Elanna. I am a petite, purebred Sable Merle Sheltie female with two beautiful blue eyes. My birthdate is May, 2004. Surrendered by a breeder, I have had lots of puppies, but I don't have to worry about that anymore. So I have decided to become a very good house dog and loveable companion. I love living in a warm house so much, and I caught onto potty training so quickly that my foster Mom doesn't even crate me. Yep - I showed her that I can be trusted not to potty in the house. Quite a cuddler, I enjoy lying on a warm lap while my ears are rubbed. I weigh about 18 lbs., and need to make a New Year's resolution to lose a pound or so. I am very sweet, a little shy, but friendly and get along well with other dogs. Walking on lead is totally foreign to me, but I am learning quickly. Once I heal from my recent spay surgery (whew! glad that is over with), I will be ready for my "fur"ever home.

We require a secure fenced yard, we do not accept "invisible" or electric fences. We will check your fence. All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on vaccinations, heartworm tested and on prevention, on Flea & Tick prevention and micro-chipped. Dentals are completed as needed. You may meet our dogs at Petco on W. 75th Street, just East of Metcalf in Overland Park, KS on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 10 to 2 and the 1st Sunday of the month from 11 to 3 or by Appointment. We DO NOT SHIP our dogs

Why Adoption is a Great Option

B'Elanna, a Mission Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Mission, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Mission.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission paves the way for another one to be saved.
