Champagne Lorraine's Story...
Lorraine is a 3 year old cattle dog mix. She tends to be a bit more reserved/shy around people. Her personality is very typical of a cattle dog. She will need a home that can offer her a strong pack leader, moderate activity on a daily basis, and possibly some obedience classes. This will help with her confidence and socialization tremendously. Lorraine will be a very loyal and devoted dog to her owner, and will look to them for guidance. At 30lbs Lorraine would make a great doggy companion for an active family that enjoys the outdoors ( she will be the ideal hiking dog).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Champagne Lorraine, a Wappingers Australian Cattle Dog/Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Shiba Inu for sale in Wappingers, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Wappingers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wappingers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wappingers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Shiba Inu breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wappingers paves the way for another one to be saved.
