Lucky Boy's Story...
I am really a lucky boy because I was rescued from a very unsafe living situation. My nose is a little banged up from having to defend myself, but it is healing nicely and soon I'll be totally handsome! My front feet are declawed so it was hard to protect myself from predators. Now I am safe inside my foster home, and I just love my foster mama. The doctor says I am approximately 2 years old and my foster mama says that I am a gentle, easygoing soul. I just love to be around people and other cats. Foster mama says I am very good with children of all ages and that I acclimate well when gently introduced to dogs. She says I am unusually sweet and that I like to talk to her. I know I love to sit on laps and get loves. Of course I’d love to sit on your lap and purr, make happy feet, and give you lots of affection. I am a people cat for sure! How about it? Can I come home with you? Foster mama will let me go with you as long as you take real good care of me!! >^..^<

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky Boy, a Plainwell Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Plainwell, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Plainwell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainwell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainwell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainwell paves the way for another one to be saved.
