Lightening's Story...
Lightening is a liberal arts sort of kitten. She is interested in everything and darts around between toys and climbing posts and her brother and sisters, never stopping long for anything. She's creative and smart and a pesky little sister to the other kittens. At any time she'll leap up into the air, spin around, and land all four paws over whatever happens to be in her way! Although she is two weeks younger than the other kittens, she is at least as developed mentally and physically as the rest. She loves to cuddle ... for a minute or two. And when she tires, she drops wherever she is and sleeps the contented sleep of a very fulfilled kitten! To complete an application and meet her, please email INFO@FORrescue.net She's fostered in Madison, AL

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lightening, a Huntsville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
