Dillon's Story...
Meet Dillon!!

Dillon is a 3-year old Deaf American Bulldog mix, with amazing black freckle-like spots. He is a real people-pleaser, who is happiest around someone who will simply love him.

Sweet, funny and playful, this adorable boy is looking for a new best friend! He is smart and active and looking for a committed person or family who can make him a part of their daily lives. He is a gentleman on the leash and well-mannered in the car, and absolutely LOVES to play with his ball!!! He has learned several hand signals, including sit, and to wait for his "release and eat" commands for every meal and has been working on "drop it." Dillon would prefer to be the only canine cuddling on the couch with you. so no other dogs in your home please. He is a cat lover, so dog savvy cats are fine.

He is heartworm NEGATIVE! Up to date on his age appropriate vaccinations, worm and parasite free and microchipped and house trained.

Dillon was the featured pet on Chicago's Very Own WGN Mid-Day News Adopt a Pet segment -- Check out his TV debut! http://www.wgntv.com/videogallery/68700231/News/adopt-a-pet---secondhand-snoots-rescue

About deaf dogs: having a deaf dog is very much like having a hearing dog-- the only difference is in how you communicate with one another. We will help you, as Dillon is being trained on basic hand-signals- and there are MANY resources available to help you add a very special deaf dog to your family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dillon, a Gurnee American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Gurnee, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Gurnee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gurnee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gurnee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gurnee paves the way for another one to be saved.
