My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Biscuit is a beautiful, loving, playful and loyal girl. She is totally a snuggle bug and always wanting to please. Quiet, gentle, well mannered and affectionate, Biscuit would do any family proud. She is quickly learning all the rules of the house and is friendly and delightful in her dealings with everyone. Biscuit is approximately 1 1/2 - 2 years old and weighs 40 lbs.

Here is what her foster family had to say:

Biscuit is a very beautifully marked and very healthy girl. She is the perfect size!

She listens and responds very well to commands and has not chewed on anything she shouldn't. She is a lady when she eats which has allowed us to free feed her, just leaving the bowl down and letting her go to it whenever she likes. She responds very well to her name and comes as soon as I call her. Her motto seems to be, "I did what I knew what to do. When I knew better I did better." She only has to be told something once. We are working on basic commands and she is very smart picking up on things very quickly.

Biscuit is a bit shy when meeting any new people or dogs, but socializes within a few minutes and is extremely friendly to everyone. Our Golden Retriever is 13 and very passive and accepting so there's been absolutely no issues at all. Biscuit will snuggle up to Max. She barked once the first time she met the cat. Puss'n took one swipe at her to show who was da boss and they've been buds ever since ...even drinking from the water bowl together. Both dogs and the cat walk through the park together now. We visited my sister and her dog and they played beautifully in the house and in the yard. She would love a home where there is another friendly and playful dog.

We are not using the crate with Biscuit. She follows us EVERYWHERE and sleeps very quietly right beside the couch if we're watching TV, and at the side of the bed at night. Great for running on a leash, but doesn't walk by our side. We took her to the leash free park and she played wonderfully with the other dogs but once they were gone she stayed within 10 feet of us for the remainder of the walk. No issues putting the leash back on her at the gate. She did get out when company was coming in, but didn't bolt. I went outside and called her and she came right back. She rides very well in the car and you wouldn't even know she is there as she is so calm and quiet.

Biscuit is such a treat. Soooo sweet and funny to watch. She doesn't act like a dog that's been harmed or abused in any way; By the third day here, she became the happiest dog I've ever seen. It's like she can't believe the wonderful life she now has. There's lots of "firsts" for her. Must have been the first time she saw a TV...she'd stare at it and jolt back when it changed scenes...too funny. Then she'd stare at herself at the black screen when we turned it off. Must have been her first time going down a flight of stairs...took her about 5 minutes to figure that out! Second time she ran up and down them so fast...she was so proud of herself. Needs to find her forever home soon though because she's already so attached to us (especially me). She'd be very loyal to a loving owner. I think she doesn't want to disappoint us.

If you think this sweet young girl would be a great addition to your family, please submit an application for consideration.
