Herbert's Info...
| Breed: | American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier Mix | Color: | Brown/Chocolate - With White | Age: | Young |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Male |
I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Herbert is a wonderful, energetic little dude! He is super smart, learns commands in a matter of minutes. He can sit, shake, high-five, give a smooch and if you point to his little settee, he gets right up there. He is cuddly and filled with love. He has recovering from demodex mange and is looking for a forever home. He needs to go for a few walks a day to expend his energy and a fenced yard would be really good for him. He is currently getting training as he barks along the fence - it is out of fear, he can't see what's on the other side!

Rescue Group Info...
I rescued my first dog in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina - I went there with HSUS and when no one came back for one special greyhound/shepherd I met there, I sent for him and we lived happily together until he passed last year.
My heart goes out to every pet in a shelter. Whatever the reason they're there, it isn't good. I love to break them out, get them cleaned up and loved up until they can trust and be happy again. I only wish I could take them all.
We can arrange meetings anytime - just email or call. We'll also have a booth from November through April every Sunday at the Bridge Street Market on Bradenton Beach, FL.
Adoption fees are $75 for adult dogs, $125 for puppies. Cats, $45 and kittens, $65.
We do have an adoption contract. We do require a home visit and often, follow up visits, depending upon the pet's needs. We visit with and get to know potential adopters and work with people wanting to give love and a home to our rescued darlings.
We're located in Bradenton, FL, serving Manatee County, FL. We will transport in certain cases.
