Sammy is a lovely golden chestnut Coon hound mix lady who's about 7 years old. She is a relinquishment so is reported to be house trained, she does very well in kennel, good with kids and other dogs and cats. Sammy is spayed and up to date with her shots. This sweet gal was surrendered after only a couple of months with her prior owners due to medical issues on their part.
The volunteers love taking Sammy out for a stroll...she's good on lead, but typical of her breed her nose is down or way up wind to catch all those delicious scents. And Sammy doesn't seem to mind the weather she enjoys some exercise snow or sunshine. She is a lady with her food and toys, she's fond of peanut butter in kongs and stuffed animals. Sammy is searching for a new "fur-ever" home and would be a great addition to most households. We suspect she'd like a child or two to run and explore with and a cozy corner of her own to snuggle up in at the end of the day. If you're wanting a versatile, happy four footed companion we encourage you to stop by the shelter and meet Sammy . Applications now being accepted on line or at the shelter.
If you want to apply for Sammie click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Humane Society.Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged.
