Daisy's Story...
This gorgeous girl is Daisy, a catahoula leopard dog that is around 3 years old. Daisy came to us as a stray and we can't imagine who could let this beautiful and sweet girl go. Daisy is a bit timid when she meets people. She likes to check everyone out and when she knows you're okay, you're her best friend for life. We feel that Daisy must have had a rough start in life and that people may not have treated her too kindly, but she is loving attention and affection now! Daisy is so incredibly well-behaved. She sits nicely when asked, waits patiently to be leashed up for a walk, plays very gently with her toys and takes treats gently too. Daisy has excellent manners around the dinner bowl and has no food or toy possessiveness whatsoever. This girl is an absolute doll. Although she would prefer to be the only pet in the home, Daisy would make a great addition to a loving family that would care for her and treat her right. All this girl wants is a warm lap to cozy up in and someone to love her forever. 10/31/11 File#21001

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a Forked River Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
