Hooch's Story...
This handsome and happy guy is Hooch, a 3 year old dogue de bordeaux/mastiff mix that was turned in when his owners could no longer afford to care for him. Hooch was in rough shape when he came in....fly strikes on his ears and a skin infection too. He is getting the medical care that he needs and lots of love and attention too! Hooch is a bit shy upon meeting people, but once he see's he can trust you, he'll be your best friend for life. He is very well behaved and walks like a perfect gentleman on a leash. He loves to be right by your side and is very people-focused. Hooch is an easy going guy that likes to roam around our exercise yard, checking things out, rather than running and playing with toys. He's just a cool, calm and sweet guy that deserves a great home to lounge around in. Please consider opening your heart and home to this deserving young man! 6/28/12 File#21653

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hooch, a Forked River Dogue de Bordeaux dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dogue de Bordeaux for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Dogue de Bordeaux dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dogue de Bordeaux breeders who help with Dogue de Bordeaux rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
