My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**UPDATE**
Dori continues to heal from her years of neglect and she is still very camera shy! Her wounds have healed, she has gained over 10 pounds since she came to us back in December, and her coat has thickened and looks great!

Dori is still a bit unsure of how to handle all the attention, but sure does love it. She also seems to perk up when around other dogs. We are looking for a foster/permanent home so that Dori can really blossom. She would do best in a home with an experienced dog owner, familiar with the breed and willing to work with a trainer. Because she still shows some fear in certain situations, a home with no small/young children would be best for her.

Stop in to witness the amazing transformation this adorable sweetheart has undergone!
This sweet little girl is Dori. Dori is 6 years old and has spent the majority, if not all, of her life with a large chain around her neck secured to tree with nothing more than a small plastic crate for shelter. No blankets for warmth and by the site of her most likely not much food to keep her belly full.

Dori has recently been rescued from these deplorable conditions and now has food when she is hungry, water when she is thirsty, and a comfy bed and plenty of blankets to keep her warm. Most importantly she is surrounded by caring and loving people that will nurse her back to health.

Despite the abuse and neglect this girl has suffered, her tail still wags at the site of people and she would love nothing more to just snuggle into your lap for a little TLC! This tender soul has a heart of gold that she would love to share with someone who is just willing to love her back!
