Stanley's Story...
This adorable little guy is Stanley, a chihuahua that is just over a year old and would love a great home. Stanley came to us with several of his friends from Virginia, when they were taken from a hoarding situation. This little guy was a bit shy upon arrival but has warmed up to everyone very quickly. Stanley is a quiet little guy that is content to go for leisurely strolls with his new friends, and cuddle in a warm lap. He is very well behaved and also very affectionate once he gets to know you. Stanley gets along well with other dogs and would love a quiet home with people that will love and care for him like he deserves. 12/23/12 File#22174

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stanley, a Forked River Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
