Romeo's Story...
Meet lover boy, Romeo. Romeo is five months old weighs 5.5 lbs. This puppy came into Castaic Shelter as a stray with a severe broken leg. Romeo suffered for 10 days waiting for his family to claim him. He was in so much pain that he bit one of the shelter workers. During his stay at the shelter, he became to love of everyone. Once Romeo left the shelter and his leg was repaired, he became the happy puppy running and giving endless kisses. He wants to snuggle and be held. If you would like to donate to Romeo's surgery, please go to our donate page (http://www.savingk9livesplus.org)

Romeo is up for adoption but will not be available until after his leg heals. Please fill out an application for this courageous puppy! www.savingk9livesplus.org and fill out our application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Romeo, a Encino Maltese/Coton de Tulear puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Coton de Tulear for sale in Encino, or seeking a Maltese/Coton de Tulear puppy from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Coton de Tulear breeders who help with Maltese/Coton de Tulear rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
