MEET Alex - a wonderful friendly little Boston terrier / pug mix about 20 pounds and under one year old. Good with children and dogs and cats. He is shy around men and will warm up to them but slowly.

~~All of the dogs at Lake Haven have been tested for heartworm, are up to date on vaccines and started on flea and tick prevention. If they are not already spayed or neutered a voucher will be provided at the time of adoption to cover the cost of the spay/neuter surgery. ~~If you're interested in bringing this wonderful dog into your home and making it part of your family please complete an online application at: www.lakehavenrescue.org. Most of the dogs that are available will be at the Petsmart in Grandville, on the 1st three Saturdays of each month. Dogs and puppies can be seen on days other than Saturdays with an approved application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alex, a Newaygo Pug/Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Boston Terrier for sale in Newaygo, or seeking a Pug/Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in Newaygo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newaygo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newaygo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Boston Terrier breeders who help with Pug/Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newaygo paves the way for another one to be saved.
