Penelope's Story...
Hi, My name is Penelope and I came out of a vacant lot with Faith. This life is a little hard especially as a kitten (I'm 7 months old) but thankfully there are people who "fixed" and vaccinated us and then other loving people, like my fosters, who took me to the Vet when they saw me limping. I have a broken leg but you should see me get around! My Fosters will post a video soon and you'll see why they laugh and enjoy me! I love seeing them laugh too so I'm the class clown here at the "re-hab"......Please think about adopting me as a furkid fur-ever! My adoption fee is only $75. and I've been all vetted with even a microchip! Happy New Year!

Note from Rescue: If you'd like an application please call (941-320-2220 or email I'd be glad to email an application because we require that, a home visit and/or Vet Check, landlord references, etc Thank you for adopting and not shopping and understanding that the pet's are our top priority!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penelope, a sarasota Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in sarasota, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in sarasota.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in sarasota already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a sarasota breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in sarasota paves the way for another one to be saved.
