Colombo's Story...
Colombo is a healthy and friendly mix that was rescued from a pound after having been found as an unwanted stray. We do not know his exact mix but Lab and Bernese is a good guess. Colombo is great with the other dogs at the foster home and is proving to be a polite houseguest. The vet estimated that he was born around May 2012 and he currently weighs about 40 pounds. He still has a bit of growing and filling out to do but could grow into a dog that is more in the medium range rather than large. If your family is looking for a pet to grow with, Colombo is one of those dogs that will fit easily as a new and treasured member of the family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colombo, a Rigaud Bernese Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
