Chip's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Chip's Story...

Chip is an approximately 3 year old, ~14 pound Chihuahua/Min Pin mix who LOVES his adult foster family and foster dog siblings.  Chip is great on a leash, house-trained, stays at home by himself without any accidents or destructive behaviors, likes to play fetch, and loves cuddling - he wouldn't mind being a couch potato with you or going on your next adventure!  He loves all dogs and is very obedient!  Chip is also a great watchdog and alerted his foster parents when a burglar attempted to break in a few months ago!!

Chip is fearful of new people and takes about a day to warm up to a new person - at that point, he will be your best friend forever!  Because of his fear of strangers, Chip needs a home without small children and a patient family that will wait for Chip to come around in about a day of arriving at his forever home.

Chip knows basic commands such as sit, stay, come, let's go outside, and time for bed.  He will make a GREAT family member and has been overlooked and waiting a long time for his own home."

PLEASE NOTE:   HHARG does not have a shelter or other physical location. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes.

If you are interested in a dog, please first review our adoption policies and procedures and fees, and then fill out our online adoption application.

Please do not email us to ask if a dog is available. If the dog is on our website, he or she is available. We are an all-volunteer group, and our time is limited. Answering emails about availability only slows down the process of processing applications.

About Healing Hearts Animal Rescue Group

About Our Rescue Group...

Healing Hearts Animal Rescue Group is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization dedicated to rescuing homeless, abandoned, special needs and senior companion animals from high-kill shelters. We also rescue special needs and senior horses, as well as those who are headed to slaughter, or from owners who are no longer able to care for them. Please note that HHARG does not have a shelter or other physical location. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes.

We also serve as a resource to the public and to pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, good nutrition and preventative medical care.
