Coffee's Story...
Coffee is so eager to please. She has the sweetest soul and can't give enough smiles and doggie kisses. She is about 2 years old and was abandoned as a puppy, because she was sick and missing all of her hair. She was nursed back to health by a good samaritan and has lived most of her life outside in a pen with about 16 other dogs and no home to call her own. Coffee has adjusted well to living inside and being part of a family but this sweetie way overdue for a forever home of her own. Could that be you? She is house trained and crate trained. She rides in the car like a seasoned traveler and is learning to walk well on a leash. She gets along well with other dogs but is scared of cats inside and chases them when outside. She is loves to chew but hasn't been destructive, she has access to plenty of chew toys and bones. We feel she would do great as an only dog soaking up all the attention or would also do well with a canine companion or two to play with. She loves everyone! It takes her about a minute to warm up and after that she will have you under her spell. Coffee is being fostered in Birmingham Alabama and we would love to speak to you about this truly special girl. For more information please email FOR Rescue INFO@FORrescue.net We look forward to hearing from you!

About Our Rescue Group...
Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter dogs that are in danger of euthanasia. Rural Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee shelters have a constant overflow of dogs, little funding, and limited space. Once the dogs arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable dogs and adopt them out to loving families. Although our priorities are the retriever breeds, we are not limiting ourselves to retrievers because we know that there are many great dogs that need our help. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these dogs from euthanasia.
