Maine Coon Cat for adoption in San Antonio, Texas - Wicket

Facts about Wicket

  • Breed: Maine Coon
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Long

Wicket's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Wicket's Story...
Meet Wicket! Wicket was dumped at a shopping mall with another cat. Wicket is sweet but can be tempermental. He's also BIG! He's a Maine Coon mix, about 4 years old.

Wicket is FIV+. This means he needs to be an only cat or with other FIV cats and kept indoors at all times. He will need to be kept current on all vaccinations. FIV is not a death sentence for cats if they are well taken care of, and most FIV+ cats live long and healthy lives. Wicket will make a wonderful companion for just the right person!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wicket, a San Antonio Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
