Dixie's Story...

This pretty puppy is named Dixie and she needs to find a wonderful new home soon! Dixie had a home but they had too many dogs and could not keep her. Dixie was only about 6 months old when she was turned over to our shelter in July...she has spent the second half of her puppy hood in our shelter. Dixie is a rather petite girl which makes her that much more adorable:) She is good with other dogs and loves to play. Dixie is also fine with cats. She has a medium energy level...not hyper, but has plenty of energy to be part of an active family. Dixie has spent too long at our shelter. She needs a home of her own! Please consider making Dixie part of your family.

About Our Shelter...
Here at the Caroline County Humane Society, our mission is to provide proper care for each animal that comes through our door, while utilizing every tool possible in order to place these animals in wonderful, forever homes. We are also dedicated to educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering ALL pets, in order to decrease the over-population and increase the quality of life.

Dog adoption fee: $95
Cat adoption fee: $0

Adoption contracts are required and all adoptions are completed upon contract approval. For renters, landlord approval is required. We strive to make our adoption process friendly, while assuring that each of our animals goes to a good home!

We will accommodate long distance adoptions anywhere in the country, provided all criteria is met!
