Stormy's Story...
Meet Storm (on the right). This cutie is a six month old, standard schnauzer (on her mother's side)/border collie (?) cross. She's a lover with lots of energy. A genius who is intuitive and easy to train (but can also get bored quickly...). She is playful and good with younger dogs and has been tested with cats. She's crate trained (can "hold it" for 4-6 hours already at night!) and is 90% house trained. She would love an active home with a fenced yard (and maybe a friend to play with :D). She'd also make an excellent running buddy or agility dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stormy, a Alliance Schnauzer (Standard)/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard)/Border Collie for sale in Alliance, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard)/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Alliance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alliance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alliance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard)/Border Collie breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard)/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alliance paves the way for another one to be saved.
