THis dog is currently in foster care in VA, but if you can foster or would like to adopt we will work to have her brought to NJ. Please submit an application right away.
Shiloh currently lives at a vet's house in VA. He is a 1 to 1.5 year old male neutered husky mix. He came into her clinic about 6 months ago because his previous owners had been reported to animal control and were required to bring him to a vet. He was very underweight but otherwise healthy. In talking to the owners, she learned that he was chained out all day every day. She de-wormed him, made some feeding and exercise recommendations and set up a recheck for 3 weeks. At his recheck he did not look much better, so she asked them if they would be willing to surrender Shiloh to her care so that she could find him a home where he would not have to be tied up all the time. They agreed and he is now living with her :) He has gained over 20 pounds and is doing great. He is very friendly, intelligent and attentive. He does great in the house and I have slowly been allowing him to stay in for longer periods of time. He still can get a bit overstimulated when outside but is calm and responsive when she is giving him attention. She would love to see him find a forever home. He is current on vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, and HW negative. He is very playful and gets along well with most other dogs. He has had some trouble with her small terrier mix at times but gets along with all the other dogs at her house.
