Apollo's Story...
Apollo is approximately 10 months old, neutered, up to date on all shots. He is house broken, knows commands such as sit, stay, lay down, and will give you his paw. Apollo doesn't chew on things, is well behaved, high energy, and a cuddle bug who will lay down and relax when it's time. He is very submissive to other dogs but likes to chase cats. Apollo is good with children and would love a family with children and a yard to play in and use his energy!

Apollo's $85 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, rabies tag, heartworm test, and 1st month's flea/tick & heartworm preventative. Please complete an adoption application at www.sarocks.org, or email adopt@sarocks.org if you would like to make this dog part of your family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Apollo, a San Antonio German Shepherd Dog/Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Pointer for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Pointer puppy from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Pointer breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
