Meet Mandy! Mandy is a super sweet 1.5 year old 12 lbs Chihuahua/Terrier mix! She is the perfect smaller sized dog who loves to be by your side and sleep in your lap! But don't let her small size fool you she is all dog! Her favoite past time is playing with her foster brothers., Bo and Charlie. Bo and Charlie may be big beefy pit bulls but Mandy enjoys getting them wound up and having them chase her through the yard! Mandy came to me as a very timid and shy dog who didn't have a lot of socialization and had no idea what a leash was about! Mandy's Mom was a stray Chihuahua mix who was running down the road when a kind neighbor took her in. Many's Mom gave birth to puppies just a few weeks later, 7 total! The kind woman didn't want to get in trouble with her landlord for having so many dogs so she was unable to walk them all for fear of getting evicted, so Mandy and her siblings spent a lot of time in a spare bedroom using newspapers to go potty. After many months of trying to find them homes with no luck the kind woman reached out to Straight From The Streets Animal Rescue for help. The other much more social siblings of Mandy's got adopted quickly but Mandy was so shy that she needed some more time! Mandy joined my pack of foster dogs and after a few months of training and long walks in the park Mandy has grown into the trusting loving dog she was born to be! Mandy is current on all her vaccines and is spayed! She is hw negative and ready to begin her life as someones forever friend, could that be you?!

Kate to the rescue rescue, rehabs and rehomes feral/stray dogs and cats.
I specialize in trapping animals that have been living on the streets for a significant amount of time and are hard to catch.
I then rehab them via foster homes and my own home and help them to become the domesticated dogs and cats that they were meant to be.
Then they become available for adoption once they have become social and adoptable!
