This beautiful gal is Gabby! Gabby is a 9 month old lab mix who weighs about 48 lbs pounds and is hoping to find a forever home in the DC area.  Her previous owner couldn’t keep her, so she was left to fend for herself at the shelter. Fortunately, Lucky Dog scooped her up and is helping her find her furever family!!

Gabby likes other dogs so would do great in a home with a canine sibling. She currently gets along well with her foster sibling and does great at dog parks! We don’t know yet how she is around kids or cats, but would be happy to test that out if you are interested!,

Gabby is such a little darling who is so excited to find her forever family!  She would love to show off her beautiful face  on long walks with her new parents. She also LOVES playing with all types of toys - check out her video! Gabby has a lot of energy so would do best with a family that would be able to give her regular exercise!

According to her foster mom, Gabby knows 'sit,' 'no,' 'down,' and 'out.' And with the right treats, she would absolutely love to learn more.  And after training, a few belly rubs and a cozy bed (or lap!) to snuggle on would be a dream come true.

Like most shelter dogs, Gabby may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $300, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Maureen at maureenm@luckydoganimalrescue.org!

About Our Rescue Group...
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a group of highly motivated and highly dedicated volunteers. We spend countless hours making sure that wonderful dogs find loving forever homes. We don't do it for money -- we do it for the joy a dog can bring to its new family; we do it for our love of animals; and we do it to save lives!
Come Meet Our Pets...
Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
Our Adoption Process...
The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue rescues homeless and abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters, owners who can no longer care for them, and other high-risk situations. Lucky Dog works with dedicated volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and kennels to provide loving temporary care while we find well-matched, carefully screened forever homes for each dog we take in. We also serve as a support group to our adopters and all dog owners by providing ongoing education and resources for the well-being of their dogs, including the importance of proactive spay/neuter policies, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.
