My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is located on Tybee Island, GA
Hi! My name is Finola but my new Foster Mom calls me "Nola"! I love to run right up to her when she calls me, and I wiggle all over which makes everyone laugh. I’m about 2 years old and 8 pounds.

Before I came here, I was grabbed by some men in a big truck and they put me in a little cage in a loud place, and it was VERY scary and VERY cold!I was so afraid of everything when I was there. I had the shivers all the time!

One day a really, really nice woman came in and said she would take me home with her! I was still pretty scared but she was very nice so I tried to be brave. I stayed at her house and they had lots of dogs that let me play with them. That was lots of fun! She said I was a very sweet girl.

Then my new foster mom came and got me! Now I live in a little house near a beach, and get to take long walks all over, and we even have a doggie door!I can go outside in the yard whenever I want! My Foster Mom is always telling me that I am such a good girl 'cause I haven't had any "accidents" in the house. I try really hard to make her like me too. She has a little house thing with a door she calls a "crate", and I like to sleep in it at night. It feels very safe and cozy!

I love to cuddle with people, and I snuggle with my foster brother and sister too! They have lots of cool toys that I like to play with, especially the squeaky ones! They have a big old Cat too, but she ignores me, and I am glad because I am so little, and she is very BIG!

My foster mom has been teaching me lots of neat stuff too! She has taught me to wait before I go out any big door, or cross any street. And I wait for my treats too! She says I am a very smart girl and that makes me so happy! She is also helping me not to be scared of stuff because where I lived before I didn’t out to see much so it’s new to me. I like to ride in her car, BUT when we are walking sometimes cars scare me a little.

I hope I can find a forever home soon! It's very nice here, but I really want my own place and my very own family, like my foster brother and sister have! Thanks for visiting and reading my story! Xoxo Finola!
