found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and not good with cats.
Otis was rescued in October 2009 from an Arkansas shelter at 8 weeks old. He is now 3 years, 4 months old and weighs about 55 pounds. He loves to play and run outside, sleep in the sun, chew on bones, and go for walks. Otis is happiest getting lots of attention, rubs, and snuggles on the couch.
Otis is neutered, current on all annual exams and vaccines. He has been on a steadyregime of Frontline and Heartguard. Otis has a microchip, is fully house-trained, and is trained on Invisible Fence. Otis is a great sleeper and enjoys his crate at night.
We have to surrender Otis because has proven to be a very challenging dog for our family. We have a toddler who is just learning to walk. Otis cannot help but herd our son around the house and corral him in corners. He is not aggressive towards people but he nips, paws and jumps ~ three things we have never been able to train away. Otis is aggressive towards cats, even the cat that lives in our home. He is very protective of his home and barks and growls at pedestrians, other dogs that walk by our home, passing cars and doorbells.Otis does well on the leash, doesn’t require much activity to be content and loves sleeping on the couch and riding in the car. He is not destructive while left home alone.Otis would do best in a home without small children. He can adjust to living with another dog or dogs. He boards well and is well liked by everyone.
Otis is not at PAWS. Please contact 203.505.5094 (ask for Derrick) or 203.525.3641 (ask for Aimee).
