Rosie's Story...
Rosie is a terrific dog! Loving, funny, playful, smart - she's a real roll-with-the-flow girl.

Rosie's favorite things include walks, hikes, toys, car rides, and quiet time spent indoors with her family. She is good on a leash, and loves to go for walks. She will also chase a ball in the back yard, or instigate a game by grabbing one of her toys and prancing around with it until she gets your attention. She will romp with you outside, then lie quietly beside you while you read, chat, or watch TV. She is totally housebroken, and well behaved in the house.

There's not an aggressive bone in her body. She has lived compatibly with other dogs and cats, and will play with any who are so inclined (if not, she can entertain herself). She has not lived with very young children but does well with older ones; she does prefer (don't we all) that strangers approach her slowly - especially young kids and men in hats.

This is a dog who was rescued once before and has enjoyed a wonderful home for several years. Now her owner can no longer care for her, and she needs an equally wonderful adopter.
Can't you picture her smiling face and wagging tail in your home?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Flagstaff Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Flagstaff, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Flagstaff.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flagstaff already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flagstaff breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flagstaff paves the way for another one to be saved.
