I am already spayed.
Hi there everyone, my name is Ellie Mae. I will be available for adoption on 1/19/2013 @ the Chili Salsa Bowl Event @ Eastlake Woodlands Country Club 1055 East Lake Woodlands Parkway, Oldsmar, 34677 from 1pm-4pm. The entry fee for the event is $5. Please come see me and the other adorable adoptables. This is my story, I was transferred here from Tallahassee where in my previous home I was made to stay in a crate and have puppies after puppies after puppies, not a very good life for any dog. Because of my past I'm a little insecure and very unsure of everything new. I will need an experienced owner to give me time, patience and lots of TLC. Since I was made to breed my whole life I was not socialized. I would really prefer to be the only fur baby where I can get all the love and attention that I so deserve and never received. I hope you can see in me the SUPER SWEET girl that everyone else sees. Will you give me a chance? Anyone interested in adopting me MUST have knowledge and experience with my breed and my situation. A home visit and references may be required. As if that wasnt enough, my previous owner did not give me heartworm prevention so when I arrived here, I was found to be heartworm positive and lucky for me, the nice people here decided to treat me. I have finished all my treatments. Which means you can take me home right now. Because heartworm treatment can be tough on a dog, I will need to remain on a low exercise regimen for the next 60 days. This means only leash walks for potty breaks. I may be a little bit more work than some of the other dogs here, but I know I am worth it. Come visit me today and I'll show you why!!!
Lots of Love
Ellie Mae

Services
No Kill for Space Program
In January 2004 we changed our program to one of No Kill for Space, to help stop the needless euthanizing of adoptables animals in the Tampa Bay area. We now take owned adoptable dogs and cats by appointment only. We will no longer euthanize a dog or cat to make room for another one.
Pet Adoption Program
We try to provide friendly, healthy companion animals to responsible and prepared pet owners. To view our pets for adoption, click here.
Spaying & Neutering

We maintain a lost and found pet file. By maintaining a "Lost & Found" pet file, pet reports are checked daily to reunite families with their pets.
