Honey's Story...

Sweet as Honey is a 2-3 year old, female Lab/Border Collie mix whose family is no longer able to keep her and has asked Fuzzy Pawz Rescue to help her find a new home.

Honey is a very sweet dog that is family friendly and loves to cuddle with her people. She is very protective of the house will sound the alarm if there are intruders. Honey was abused by her prior owners who kept her in a kennel all day long and hit her frequently so she can be very skittish but loves people; she just needs a minute to adjust and realize no one is going to hurt her. Despite her past abuse she will cuddle with you all day, loves attention and is very good with “her” kids.

Honey has been around cats, rabbits, and other dogs and loves all of them. She has been raised as an inside dog and will continue to be one. She does like to go out to the backyard and play fetch with you. Honey will sit at the back door and walk back and forth from you to the door when she needs to go to the bathroom.

This pretty little girl is just in need of a loving family that will let her feel safe and secure and family members who will let her follow them around (if you are walking around the house she is most likely following behind you).

Honey is spayed, vaccinated and is around 40 pounds.

Honey will be great in a calmer, quieter household. She really would LOVE to live with older children in the household so she has someone to love on and cuddle with

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey, a Boise Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Boise, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Boise.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boise already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boise breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boise paves the way for another one to be saved.
