FOSTER LOCATION: Mt. Home, Idaho
Sweet as Honey is a 2-3 year old, female Lab/Border Collie mix whose family is no longer able to keep her and has asked Fuzzy Pawz Rescue to help her find a new home.
Honey is a very sweet dog that is family friendly and loves to cuddle with her people. She is very protective of the house will sound the alarm if there are intruders. Honey was abused by her prior owners who kept her in a kennel all day long and hit her frequently so she can be very skittish but loves people; she just needs a minute to adjust and realize no one is going to hurt her. Despite her past abuse she will cuddle with you all day, loves attention and is very good with “her” kids.
Honey has been around cats, rabbits, and other dogs and loves all of them. She has been raised as an inside dog and will continue to be one. She does like to go out to the backyard and play fetch with you. Honey will sit at the back door and walk back and forth from you to the door when she needs to go to the bathroom.
This pretty little girl is just in need of a loving family that will let her feel safe and secure and family members who will let her follow them around (if you are walking around the house she is most likely following behind you).
Honey is spayed, vaccinated and is around 40 pounds.
Honey will be great in a calmer, quieter household. She really would LOVE to live with older children in the household so she has someone to love on and cuddle with
If you feel you are the family for Honey please fill out an adoption application at http://www.fuzzypawzrescue.com/adoptionapplication.htm

Rescue Group Info...
We are a group of volunteers whose mission is to rescue and re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs throughout Southern Idaho. We work with many shelters and pounds that often find themselves with no room to spare.
Whenever possible we also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes with their owners.
We do not have a facility but depend on the use of foster homes to provide loving temporary homes for the dogs we save. You can meet each pet through it's contact information on it's posting.
