Pierre's Story...
Pierre is a fun loving little guy. He enjoys long walks or runs followed by a nice dip in the wading pool. With his energy, he would make an excellent jogging/running partner. Pierre is friendly and likes people. He is learning basic obedience commands like "sit" and to walk politely on leash. He is smart and responsive and would excel in continued obedience classes. For more information about his breed, please check out the following website: http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/germanwirehairedpointer.htm Interesting in meeting Pierre? He can be seen at Placer County Animal Services, 11251 B Avenue, Auburn or contact Lynn at 916.652.4164 or Wendy at 530.305.1917 for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pierre, a Auburn German Wirehaired Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Wirehaired Pointer for sale in Auburn, or seeking a German Wirehaired Pointer puppy from a breeder in Auburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Auburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Auburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Wirehaired Pointer breeders who help with German Wirehaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Auburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
