Sly's Story...
Several weeks ago, we got an urgent call about a mama cat trying to fend for her young kittens outside in the middle of winter. We were more than happy to come to their aid and take them into our care. The babies are now weaned and ready to go to their new homes and their mom, Lily is also seeking her special someone.

World, please meet Blossom, Cash, Kallie, Parker and Sly! These adorable kittens will entertain you for hours with their frisky antics before melting your heart when they curl up with you for a darling little nap. If you would like to adopt, please visit http://www.poundrescue.com/adoptions/adoption-process to learn about our adoption process & fees, or to fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sly, a Okotoks Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
