Oscar - Lynx Point's Story...
Pictures speak a thousand words…and Oscar is a prime example of why we should NEVER judge a "book by its cover". Oscar was a kitty who had been found in Los Osos and turned into the pound system. He was so scared, he would charge at the window of his cage. This reaction is an instinct that comes through when one feels they must fight for their lives. Because of this, he was about to lose his life. HOWEVER…this pumpkin has made a MILLION STRIDES in learning to trust. As you see from the above picture, this is an example of what time, acceptance and love will do for living beings. Oscar is looking for a kind hearted person or family to love him and he enjoys the company of other cats. In search of a lifetime, love filled home… Befriended Felines Rescue Alliance – Pound Rescue Jamie (805) 704-8544 Cecile (805) 788-0632

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We are an all-volunteer, foster-based group which serves to assist felines at greatest risk at our county animal shelter. We only rescue cats which are assurred to be euthanized for reasons of space, temperament and/or medical reasons without rescue assistance. Each of our volunteers has devoted a number of years, prior, volunteering at our county animal shelter (a.k.a. "the pound") and has firsthand experience in the tragic reality of the effects of homelessness on companion and feral animals. Many of the cats labeled "feral" by shelter standards prove to be merely tame, frightened animals simply needing a sense of safety, security and love. Our obligation is to those impounded which have no way out. And though we can not rescue all, we rescue as many as we responsibly can.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar - Lynx Point, a San Luis Obispo Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in San Luis Obispo, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in San Luis Obispo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Luis Obispo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Luis Obispo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Luis Obispo paves the way for another one to be saved.
