Spike's Story...
If you're looking for a fun, loving, fun-loving guy, I'm your man! Well, I'm not really a man yet. I'm still pretty young. I have plenty of energy and lots of love to give, so you should stop by to say hi to me! Maybe we could go into a visitation room, or play in a play yard. Maybe you could even take me home. I think that sounds like a lot of fun! What do you say?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spike, a Springfield Flat-Coated Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Flat-Coated Retriever for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Flat-Coated Retriever dog from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Flat-Coated Retriever breeders who help with Flat-Coated Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
