Greyhound Mix Dog for adoption in Springfield, Illinois - Star

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Star's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Star's Story...
I have NO CLUE why I'm here at SCAC, living in a kennel. My name is Star, and my owner just raved about what a good girl I am, and then left me here to find a new home.

I'm housebroken (which I understand is important to humans), I'm good with kids, and I know a lot of basic commands (like sit, lay, stand up, and if you put your hand out, I'll shake). I'm also VERY pretty ... even more so in person than in my photos.

I'm about five years old, so you won't have to deal with any of those annoying puppy behaviors. I'm sure that I will adjust quickly to YOUR home and we'll become best friends. Please come meet me; ask for # A030998.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Star, a Springfield Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
