Scout's Story...
Scout is a black Labrador Retriever mix with a stub of a tail. That makes him really adorable and very special. He doesn't remember if he was born that way or his previous owner docked his tail. He is about 6 months old as of Jan 19, 2013 and has that wonderful lab personality. As with most labs, Scout gets along well with other dogs and is a friendly fellow. He likes to greet people and is always smiling. We don't know whether he likes cats since he isn't near them at the shelter. Scout is in Madison, Mississippi but if you are interested in taking him to your forever home, please fill out the adoption form here: http://www.animalrescuefront.org/Adoption-Form.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scout, a Groton Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Groton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
