Ling Ling's Story...
Hi, I'm Ling Ling! Strange name for a pup, right? Well, when I was found I was three weeks old and looked like a baby Panda, so that's where I got my name! My mom and I were found by some men who were hunting in New Mexico - we had been dumped in a remote area. My mom and me lived but one of my siblings did not make it. Friends for Life took me in and I stayed with my mom for about 8 weeks - long enough to learn all the stuff I needed to learn from her! Now I am in another foster home and doing well. I am a puppy but would do well in an experienced home - I sometimes nip when I play and I need a home who knows dogs and can work with me in a nice way to help me break that habit. I'm at the shelter on Saturdays so please come and meet me!

One of the pictures here is of me when I was three weeks old (so you can see I look like a Panda!), and there's also a nice picture of me and my mom!

About Our Rescue Group...
Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a registered nonprofit, volunteer-based, no-kill organization. Started in 1993 Friends for Life maintains an adoption center for it's rescued animals, a low-cost spay and neuter program (grant-funded), and a network of foster homes. Friends for Life also attends off-site locations to adopt the homeless cats and dogs and the organization is always looking for help. Friends for Life does not have a veterinarian on site or on staff. We utilize discounted services of veterinarians kind enough to do so for our rescued animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ling Ling, a Gilbert Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
