Maggie's Story...
Meet Maggie, a 37-pound hypoallergenic mix of Wheaten Terrier and Poodle born in November 2009 who is in need of a new home due to the arrival of a new baby. Like many terriers, Maggie can be a little feisty, so good leadership skills will be needed to reinforce good doggie manners. She did not demonstrate any aggressive behaviour towards the baby but has been uncomfortable around the sudden movements of young children in the past, so a home with children over the age of 12 would be best for her. She is clean in the house and is not a chewer. Maggie loves going for walks and is fine when meeting other dogs outside the home, but would prefer to be the only dog in her own home as she can be a little territorial, perhaps due to being a bit spoiled. Maggie will make a great family pet but is not recommended for first-time dog owners.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Rigaud Wheaten Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wheaten Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Wheaten Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wheaten Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Wheaten Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
