My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Why Choose me?
Maya is a wonderful, calm, friendly girl. These pictures don’t do justice to how pretty she is, with her rich dark brown brindle coat. She looks like she’s swirled in caramel. And just as sweet. It was pleasure to walk her and spend time with her in the interaction pen. She loves having her back scratched, and leans into your legs to encourage you to keep going. She’s in heat at the moment, but if she’s adopted or rescued her first stop will be the vet for a spay, so no more mamahood for Maya. She deserves to be somebody’s special baby herself. Maya is everything that is wonderful about pitbulls – especially her attitude toward people. She is calm with all the other dogs around this crazy place, so she just seems to be at peace with everybody. She came to animal control with Roscoe and Sparky because her owners are in jail after a drug bust. Since she’s in heat she’s not currently allowed to hang out with her buddies, who are unneutered males, but she seems fine – she’s a sweet and stoic girl.
