~ ADOPTION PENDING ~ Melody is a female Silky Terrier mix approximately 1 and a half years old. She has straight, flowy, long tan fur with shiny light silver highlights. She is small, weighing only 12 pounds. Melody has been professionally groomed and is a healthy young dog. She is perky and peppy while also being affectionate and well behaved. She is great inside the house and appears to be potty trained. Melody is a social dog and likes to be included in daily family life. She enjoys going places and would like to join her person on errands or out and about. Melody rides nicely in the car and walks well on leash. She is good with other dogs, but would be perfectly happy as an only dog as well. She adores people and prefers them over other dogs. Melody welcomes guests into the home with a wag of her tail and will merrily strut around the house once she feels comfortable. Melody is a snuggler and will enjoy being close to your side whether it’s in the living room watching TV or cuddled up in bed. She is an easy keeper, classy and beautiful, and will make a lovely little pet. Melody is ready for her new forever home today!

Melody’s adoption donation is $350 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Melody is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Cindy and is ready for her forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MELODY, a Newport Beach Silky Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Silky Terrier for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Silky Terrier dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Silky Terrier breeders who help with Silky Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
