LEXIE's Story...
Please contact Lisa for more information about this pet.

We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from CCHS, you have to complete an online application at http://www.collincountyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application.html and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.

LAB/COLLIE MIX

Hi my name is LEXIE and after over 200 days in the shelter my foster family brought me into their home.  I have 3 furry foster sisters and 2 acres to run and play.  It's so much better than the shelter and I have so much room.  They even let me play with ALL the toys.  I LOVE LOVE toys.  I have a great personality and love people.    I'm potty trained and crate trained.  My foster family is trusting me so much I now get to sleep on a dog bed at the foot of their bed and they have been leaving me out to free roam the house during the day and I HAVE BEEN PERFECT.     I get along with everyone and everything.  My foster family said I'll be a great watch dog too.    I smile a lot and have a little under bite but that makes me even more special.   I would love to find my very own furever home soon.  I promise I will be good and love a new family very much.   I get along with kids and adults.    I'm a great girl and will make a great addition to your family.  Please consider me for your home.    I am a pretty tall girl but I don't weigh very much. I weigh about 60lbs.

To place rescued animals in permanent, loving homes

To build and maintain a facility to house rescued animals and host adoptions.

Come Meet Our Pets...
To meet our pets, contact us about any dog/puppy you are interested in and we'll set up a meeting time/date between the adopter and foster home.
Our Adoption Process...
Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be UTD , current on HW prev and S/N. If a home visit is needed we will compele that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fee is $200 for dogs ad $250 for puppies. We spend an average of $300 on each dog/puppy, so the adoption fee helps pay for the vetting for future dogs we bring into the program. Their is a 5 day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family.
