Misty's Story...
You'll know as soon as you see her that this is a very special tortie. In a room full of rowdy kittens, she shows such calmness and gentleness as she waits patiently for her turn for attention. She loves to have her chin scratched and likes to hang out in the windowsill when a laps not available. We estimate her birth date in April 2007. She was brought to us in June 2007 as a very kitten and has lived at our facility since. Do you have room in your home and heart for such a sweet kitty?
All of ours cats have been Feline leukemia and feline aids tested negative, spayed or neutered, vaccinated with FVRCP and FELV, rabies vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Misy has an adoption fee that has been waived because Misty is over 3 years old.
The first step to adopting any feline is to fill out an application at http://acadianaanimalaid.org/adopt/cat-adoption/application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Carencro Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carencro, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Carencro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carencro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carencro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carencro paves the way for another one to be saved.
