I am good with kids and good with cats.

Jake's Story...
Jake is a handsome fellow, with a serious expression on his face. He is a very easy walk, and has been at a home with many cats and rabbits with no issues whatsoever. He likes kids too! He would be a loyal companion for a loving family. He weighs about 60 pounds and would love to meet you.

An adoption fee may be required which helps cover some of the care and veterinary services provided, including spay for females, neuter for males, vaccinations, de-worming and heartworm testing when age appropriate.

The adoption process begins with an application, which is a tool the Franklin County Humane Society uses to make a good forever home match. Contact us at franklincountyhumane@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Metamora American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Metamora, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Metamora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Metamora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Metamora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Metamora paves the way for another one to be saved.
