Taylor Sniff's Story...
Taylor Sniff is my name. I am a female “young” senior, (how’s that?) purebred sable sheltie. I have only been in my foster home for a short time. But I have shown my foster parents that I am crate trained and very sweet. I am a little shy but I have gone through a lot of changes in a short period of time. I am mixing easily with the other dogs in my foster home. I want to play with the other dogs but they don’t know me that well yet. I was born in December of 2004. I had puppies before but I am now spayed and ready for retirement! I was told that I need to lose about 5-7 pounds. I am about 27 pounds now. My foster mom is training me to walk on a leash. A walking regimen will get the pounds off of my petite body. I learned to go outside to potty and back in the house in less than a week! I was surrendered by a breeder so now I love being in a home learning to play with humans and dogs. My foster mom says I may not be shy for long in a loving home. My tail wags more and more each day. I am awesome at relaxing on a warm couch or chair. My foster mom says what I enjoy the most is to snuggle and cuddle.

They call me Taylor Sniff. I am learning to be a diva. This retirement is awesome!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taylor Sniff, a Mission Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Mission, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Mission.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission paves the way for another one to be saved.
