Ida-May's Story...
Ida-May is a spunky little 7 month old girl who loves people and loves attention. After being attacked and bitten by a raccoon while trying to survive outside, Ida-May was taken to Chicago Animal Control. There they dressed up her wounds and tested her for all illnesses. She came out happy and healthy, and then was transferred to St. Sophia's Forgotten Felines.

Ida-May loves attention, so much so, that when we tried to take her picture, she kept running off the couch to hang out with the photographer. This active girl thinks sitting still is for wimps, and she'd rather be off having adventures. She'd do great in a home with other cats and kids, but tends to be nervous around dogs.

She is spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FIV/Leuk, treated for all parasites, and fully vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $75, and she is currently in foster-care. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ida-May, a Addison Russian Blue kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Russian Blue for sale in Addison, or seeking a Russian Blue kitten from a breeder in Addison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Addison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Addison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Russian Blue breeders who help with Russian Blue rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Addison paves the way for another one to be saved.
