Woody's Story...
Woody is a high-energy, fun and friendly, 18-month-old, 50-pound, male, brindle and white terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. Woody was dropped off at Chicago Animal Control with a broken paw. He’s a great dog who knows the commands sit and down and is willing to learn much more. He is very food motivated. He also loves to play ball. He was recently seen sitting on Santa’s lap and asking for a home all his own!

Woody would do best as the only pet in the home with someone willing to play ball with him, exercise and train him. He is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. To meet and possibly adopt Woody, please fill in the on-line adoption application at http://famousfidorescue.com/rescueforms/machform/view.php?id=26727 and follow up by contacting Gloria at fido@famousfidorescue.com or 773-907-0305. His adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued pets of Famous Fido’s.

Woody is currently staying at rescue headquarters at 5430 N. Clark Street in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood. Make an appointment to stop in and meet him and all the other adoptable dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Woody, a Chicago Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home.
