Henny's Story...
Henny is an adorable baby. HIs mom is a lab mix and his dad is believed to be a redbone hound. He is an affectionate, loving, playful pup who would be a wonderful addition to any family.
At 7 weeks of age as of 1/2/12, he is currently too young to be neutered. He is in the process of receiving age appropriate vaccinations and will be spayed as soon as he is old enough.

If you are local to Jackson, Madison County Tennessee and would like to adopt Henny before he is old enough to be neutered and finish vaccinations, then you may apply to do so with the understanding that the remainder of his vetting expenses including neuter will be prepaid at the veterinarian clinic of our choice. You will have a certain time frame in which to take him in to complete this vetting at no additional cost to you. If you elect to complete the vetting at another clinic you may do so at your expense. In addition to this we require a $100 refundable deposit on any pet that is released before vetting is complete. This is in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon completion of all vetting within the stated time frame on your adoption contract.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Henny, a Jackson Redbone Coonhound/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Jackson, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Jackson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jackson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jackson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jackson paves the way for another one to be saved.
