Celeste's Story...
Celeste is an itty bitty black kitty! She's less than three pounds and CONVINCED her foster mom to rescue her. She swirled around her legs and talked to her until she was chosen to leave the shelter. Celeste enjoys dogs and other cats. She plays with them whether they're interested or not - even a sleeping friend is fun! Her best buddy right now is Giggles, a 5 year old Pit Bull. We're fascinated by Celeste's ears, by the way - you can tell exactly what's on her mind by their position. We don't think she should play poker. She's such a lovable kitten and will adapt easily to any situation. She's litter pan trained and very neat in the pan. She has tested negative for Felv/Fiv, is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. She's ready to go to her new home! To talk with her foster mom and meet her, please email INFO@FORrescue.net. Celeste is fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Celeste, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
