Angus is a seven-year-old, 29-pound, male, Spaniel/Terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. Angus is tailwaggingly-sweet and calm. But, he does have some underlying anxiety which manifests in him standing guard of his apartment doorway and barking when he hears noises. He’d probably be best in a home in a quieter neighborhood without the sounds of the city. He is good with most people including older children, but not good with toddlers and babies who make him extremely nervous. Angus enjoys the company of other dogs and has even attended doggie daycare. He’s not at all high-energy and during the day, he is happy to find a sunbeam on the bed or couch to lay in and relax. He is housebroken, crate-trained and non-destructive in the home. Angus knows the command sit and takes treats gently from your fingers. Angus is very food-motivated and can catch a treat mid-air. He’s not very playful, but he loves taking walks. He can be somewhat reactive on leash when he sees a larger dog, although off-leash he loves all dogs! He’s not yet cat-tested. Angus is very healthy, de-wormed, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations, micro-chipped, tested heartworm negative, and on monthly heartworm preventative. He even had a dental cleaning last week. To meet and possibly adopt Angus, please contact Beth at eah48@yahoo.com in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood. His adoption fee of $100 benefits rescued dogs.
