Daisy May's Story...
Daisy was rescued from a shelter south of FTW. Poor gal had a horrible yeast infection; no hair from the neck down, but that was 6 weeks ago. Today, she has a gorgeous, thick 'fur coat'. Daisy, weighs 5-5 1/2 lbs, a small gal, and we're told, is approximately 8-10 years old. Appears she was possibly used for breeding but has been spayed, micro chipped, up to date on her vaccines, and waiting for you to take her home! She's a sweet little gal but we will not adopt Daisy May into a family with children under 18 years of age. She has many years of love left to give to the right family, but we want them to be quiet years since she is 'retired' from the life she had before we 'found' her. Please contact Lucy's if you are interested in providing Daisy with a forever home to call her own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy May, a Fort Worth Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Fort Worth, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Fort Worth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Worth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Worth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Worth paves the way for another one to be saved.
